Women on the Edge of Time

Elizabeth Hasegawa Agresta

“Liberté, Egalité, Humanité”

Acrylics, charcoal, chalk, graphite on canvas

48” x 48” x 1.5”  2020

A reflection and response to all of the anger, violence, and misunderstanding currently plaguing our nation. With strength and determination, Liberty unfailingly extends her torch of enlightenment through a deluge of clamorous shouts for democracy, freedom, and equality. Largely executed in chalk, Liberty will forever be fragile; capable of being erased with the swipe of a hand.
